For DPW, Community Service is “Par” for the Course. ⛳️

This past weekend the York Public Library hosted a community mini-golf weekend featuring 18 challenging holes spread out throughout the library.

In preparation for this event, the Library approached DPW to sponsor a hole and create a one-of-a-kind mini-golf challenge. Without hesitation, our own Jaelynn Gerald, put her creative skills to work and created a clever and fun golf destination that could not be missed.

“I based our hole on the children’s book, Good Night, Good Night Construction Site, as a way to tie into the overall event,” said Jaelynn.

Gathering and crafting assorted and iconic DPW elements like street signs, barricades, traffic cones, protective gear, and more, Jaelynn filled the entire space with a York DPW presence. She even included a mascot cleverly named Malcolm Icantstandwell that she made from broomsticks, cardboard, and assorted stuffing materials.

After the event, the Library reported that the DPW hole was a fan favorite with over 700 people participating over the weekend.
