The culvert replacement project on Mountain Road just beyond Mt. A Road is complete.
This large-scale project required the replacement of an existing single span – 9’ steel pipe structure which was approximately 40 years old and feeds a stream into Hooper’s Brook.
The corrugated metal pipe arch was in poor condition with a rotted bottom, sink holes near the edge of road resulting in loss of the gravel shoulder.
The project involved installation of temporary diversion culverts for drainage channels, installation of new structures, stabilizing the inlet and outlet side of the culvert and shoulder work.
