Big Turnout for Tire Drop Day
The tires just kept rolling in for this year’s annual Tire Drop Day this past Saturday at the York Recycling and Compost Facility on Witchtrot Road.
Beginning at 9 a.m. residents arrived to drop off used and road worn tires ranging from small ATV and wheelbarrow sizes to common auto, SUV and even some very large truck tires.
At the end of the day the huge collection of unwanted tires was counted and reached a total of over 300 – three times the amount collected last year!
