York Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee

The York Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee is sponsoring a series of fun and informative events for both adults and kids in the weeks to come.

On Saturday, April 30, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., there will be a bike repair/recycle event taking place at the York Library at 15 Long Sands Road. Attendees are welcome to bring bicycles in need of repair and get expert advice on repairs and maintenance.

On Sunday, May 1 there will be an Ebike Expo at York High School, 1 Robert Stevens Drive from 1 to 4 p.m. Learn about and see examples of the exciting new technology in biking fun.

There will also be a Bike Rodeo on Wednesday, May 11 at Coastal Ridge School, 1 Coastal Ridge Road, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event is open to kids in kindergarten through fourth grade who want to show off their biking skills.

Lastly, gather the family and enjoy a Family Bike Ride from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 14. The ride will originate at York High School and travel to Village Elementary School. Helmets are required.
