Road maintenance will be coming to your street soon. 

The type of material used for this project is Asphalt-Rubber SAM (stress absorbing membrane) product. This process utilizes a crumb rubber-modified liquid asphalt and treated stone to create a more durable and versatile surface treatment.

Here are some important things to know now that our crew has completed work:

  • The road takes a couple of weeks to settle, so you may experience some loose stones in your driveway.
  • The product used has a rougher surface to start but smoothes out over time.
  • In comparison with conventional hot mix overlays, the product used saves money and provides better protection against frost and seasonal changes.
  • The project recycled 1,481 tires which otherwise would have gone to the landfill!
