Hazardous Waste Day will be held on October 24th, 2026. Registration is required and will open on October 1st, 2026. Please fill out the form below to secure your time slot. Registration will close Friday, October 23rd at 5 PM.


In the meantime, Maine residents can drop off their household hazardous waste at the Riverside Recycling Facility at 910 Riverside Street, Portland, ME on the 1st Saturday of the month (April through November).   • Charcoal lighter fluid
  • Gasoline & other fuels
  • Pesticides
  • Poisons
  • Oil base paint
  • Paint thinners
  • Solvents
  • Strippers
