Did You Know…York DPW is responsible for the white and yellow lines on the roads?

This week contractor Poirier Guidelines is working with York Department of Public Works to re-paint the yellow centerlines and white edge lines on York’s marked roadways. Using a job-specific, high-capacity paint truck, up to 800 gallons of bright, long-wearing paint will be sprayed each night to complete the project. Both yellow and white paints are specially formulated with tiny glass beads to help reflect light and add visibility. DPW wishes to remind residents that crews will be working at night throughout the town on this project and to please be aware not to drive on the lines until the paint is dry.
